For our first act of giving back, we knew we wanted to support a cause that truly makes a difference in people's lives. That's why we chose to donate £10,000 to Great Ormond Street Hospital, an organization that provides life-saving care to sick children and their families. We're happy to have made a contribution to this incredible institution and we look forward to continuing to support worthy causes in the future.
We're proud to support our community and invest in the next generation. That's why we sponsored our local girls' football team by providing them with brand new kits. It's important to us to promote equality and empower girls to pursue their passions, both on and off the field. Seeing the team play with pride and confidence is a reward in itself.
At Allbyn, we believe in the power of giving back. That's why we're proud to support the East Anglian Air Ambulance, an organization that plays a vital role in our community by providing life-saving assistance to those in need. Next, we chose to support the fight against brain tumours, a cause that's close to our hearts. That's why we've made a donation to Brain Tumour Research, an organization dedicated to finding a cure for this devastating disease. We believe that by working together, we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by brain tumours
We helped underprivileged schoolchildren experience a trip to the battlefields of France and Belgium by providing partial funding. It was an honour to be part of their journey and support their education in a meaningful way.
We're thrilled to share our proudest achievement to date! In October 22, we commissioned the construction of the first-ever school in Kwidoken, Liberia. Our efforts didn't stop there - we also facilitated teacher training, established a school-based management committee, and provided classroom resources to support quality education for children in the community
In the heart of one of the world's most overlooked crises, we proudly supported Street Child's 'Back-to-School' initiative in NW/SW Cameroon. Since 2016, separatist militias have closed many schools in the Anglophone regions, with 54% still closed in 2022.
Allbyn provided financial support to enable Street Child to:
- Advocate for education within the community, reaching 20,000 people and identifying out-of-school children.
- Hold meetings with families to address concerns about education.
- Enroll 1,000 out-of-school children (50% girls), covering enrollment fees and PTA levies.
- Supply scholastic materials to the newly enrolled children.
- Offer specialist child protection case management and referrals.
We've offset our carbon emissions this year by purchasing 15 tonnes of CO2 / carbon credits from Gold Standard.
We specifically chose to support the purchase of institutionally improved cookstoves for schools in Uganda. It is an amazing initiative that reduces school finances, reduces air pollution and health-related problems for children and cooks, decreases the deforestation impact, and reduces CO2 emissions while also empowering women and children in Uganda. At Allbyn we care a lot about giving back. Our footprint is already really low due to being in the service industry, largely working from home and being completely paper-free.
